Enrollment
General education students may enroll by contacting the Student Assignment Office (SAO) at (510) 879-2900. Special needs students are placed in classrooms by Programs for Exceptional Children.
Enrollment occurs during the months of February and March for the following year.
Registration
All general educations students must enroll at the Student Services office with Noah Bookman, Portable 18. Site registration procedures begin August 21, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Tilden School.
You must bring the following items with you when you register: (Information is on OUSD with translations.)
- Age verification
- Grade level verification
- Address verification (3 original documents)
- Health examination record
- Immunization records
Attendance

The following documents are to be completed at the school site:
- Emergency Cards (complete two new cards each year)
- Lunch application — Every child must have a completed application whether they will eat lunch at school or not.
- Walking Permit
- Parent Guardian Educational Level
- Parental Consent for Picture Release
- Parental Consent for Video Recordings
